Simcha Connection coordinates and facilitates several celebrations during a calendar year for young boys and girls. One of these celebrations is our main flagship Bar and Bat Mitzvah event! We conduct a spiritual ceremony at the Kotel in Jerusalem with the families, and we host a beautiful celebration party with music, gifts, and entertainment. Each boy receives a pair of Tefilin, a Tallit, a suit, a hat, a pair of shoes, Holy Books, and a check for his Bar Mitzvah. The girls receive gifts, clothing, Silver Shabbat Candlesticks, earrings, and a check. More than that, we also provide a meaningful contribution towards the Kiddush at their Shabbat ceremony! After the ceremony and the celebrations, we reach out to the young boys to reconnect and continue to educate them. Rabbi Mordechai Chamami, provides daily visits to each one of our recently Bar Mitzvah’d young men to help them advance their education and continue to grow from strength to strength. We urge all of our potential donors to take this Call to Action to create tangible differences in these children’s’ lives that will leave a meaningful impression which will endure the test of time. We have continued to follow the lives of our Bar & Bat Mitzvah celebrants during the many years we have run this program and they all attest to the joy and meaning these celebrations brought them.
