In the Summer of 2021, Simcha Connection organized an amazing culinary program for orphaned girls in Elad, Israel. The girls all learnt valuable cooking skills which could be used in a professional cooking career. Smaller groups were formed for therapy sessions and counseling was provided to uplift their spirits and to galvanize their self-confidence. We gave the girls a sense of joy, meaning and purpose all while teaching them practical life-skills. In September of 2020, Simcha Connection organized a professional photography course over a period of 12 months. We had a group of 25 orphaned girls participate in this life-changing program. We paid for and provided all of the photography equipment including, expensive cameras, computers, lighting and master photographers to teach the girls. This program was very costly and sophisticated, and we were able to achieve the specific goals of teaching these precious Souls new skills. The girls loved it! These girls will now be able to earn a living and be independent by providing their photography services to the Religious communities, especially taking into account the need for modesty amongst Religious women who feel more at ease with female photographers. Many more girls wish to participate in this program and Simcha Connection is inundated with requests for new enrollments.
